Your profile is available for other members to view. Members' profiles include a description and photos, likes and dislikes, individual essays, and other information helpful in determining matches. Your viewable profile does not include any identifying information about you, except the username you chose upon registering. You can change whether non-members should be allowed to view your basic profile and photo and disallow members to see your last online date at any time. This setting can be found in the Privacy section in Account Settings.

You agree that in order to assist our members to meet each other, we may feature members' profiles in our editorials and newsletters that we send out from time to time to our members. Your name, address, and telephone number are confidential and will not be posted in your profile.

Please note that your personally identifiable information will be stored and processed only on our servers in Germany and will be kept, held, and transmitted in a safe, confidential, and secure environment.

We use data collection devices such as "cookies" on certain pages of our Websites. "Cookies" are small files placed on your hard drive that assist us in providing customized services. We also offer certain features that are only available through the use of a "cookie". We only use cookies in the sense of managing the session of a logged-in user, meaning that they are automatically deleted from your hard drive at the end of a session. 5. Your Use of Other Members' Information

Our services also include access to instant messaging and chat rooms. As a member, you have access to the Member IDs, and you might gain access to other contact information of the Member(s) through the regular use of the instant messaging and chat rooms. By accepting this Privacy Policy, you agree that, with respect to other Members' personally identifiable information that you obtain through instant messaging communication, the chat rooms, and email, that you don't use such information for: (a) Your Company-related communications, and (b) any other purpose that such member not expressly agrees to. In all cases, you must give Members an opportunity to remove themselves from your database and a chance to review what information you have collected about them. In addition, under no circumstances can you disclose personally identifiable information about another member to any third party. We and our members do not tolerate spam. Therefore, without limiting the foregoing, you are not licensed to add a member to your mail list (email or physical mail). To report spam please contact us.

6. Accessing, Managing, Exporting, Updating, and Deleting Your Information

You can review and change some of the information you submitted during registration via the Edit Profile and Account Settings sections. Contact us if you want to change something that can’t be done here.

You acknowledge that We reserve the right to suspend or delete Your account from the Service if it is inactive. "Inactive" means that you have not signed in to the Service for a particular period of time (at least 1 year).

You can cancel your profile at any time in the Cancel Membership section in Account Settings. After verifying this by e-mail, your profile is kept for 7 days and hereafter deleted totally (all data). Within 7 days you can login and undo the cancellation. So be careful to cancel your account thinking this is like disabling it. All data will be deleted after 7 days of cancellation and cannot be restored.

To hide your profile from specific users select use the Blocked Members section.

7. Control of Your Password

You are responsible for all actions taken with your login information and password, including fees. Therefore we do not recommend that you disclose your password or login information to any third parties. If you choose to share this information with third parties to provide you additional services, you are responsible for all actions taken with your login information and password and therefore should review each third party's privacy policy. If you lose control of your password, you may lose substantial control over your personally identifiable information and may be subject to legally binding actions taken on your behalf. Therefore, if your password has been compromised for any reason, you should immediately change your password or contact us.

8. Other Information Collectors

Except as otherwise expressly included in this Privacy Policy, this document only addresses the use and disclosure of information we collect from you. To the extent that you disclose your information to other parties, whether they are on our Websites or on other sites throughout the Internet, different rules may apply to their use or disclosure of the information you disclose to them. The affected members will be noticed two weeks before the changes take effect on the website or by e-mail. We provide you with two weeks’ notice to allow you the opportunity to notify Us if you do not agree to such changes. In the case that you cannot agree to the changes your profile must be suspended.
